Many changes have taken place over the last few months here at the Richards Building. The most recent and charming of these updates are the large windows that were built into the exterior wall of the building facing Bassett Highway. Originally, there was a crack in the exterior wall that needed restoration. While repairing the wall, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to add some allure.
These substantial windows are in the hallway near the elevators on both the second and third floors. They allow for an abundance of light and beautiful views of Downtown Dover.
Creating this exciting feature took several weeks. Construction crews needed to mark out the space for the windows, remove the brick and prepare the space for final placement of the glass. The video below shows the crew in the final steps after installing the frame and then inserting the glass. They did a great job, the view is amazing!
